Mikhail Sheremet, a member of the Russian Duma for Crimea, announced on Wednesday that the phone call between the presidents of Russia and the United States marked the collapse of the "wall of misunderstanding" between the two countries.
Sputnik quoted Sheremet as saying: "The leaders of Russia and the United States showed the entire world how responsible and wise politicians should be.
The beginning of the dialogue was marked by the collapse of the wall of misunderstanding and mistrust between Russia and the United States, and demonstrated that the era of political catastrophes is over, and the world is looking forward to a more peaceful and confident life."
According to Sheremet, the first serious step has been taken in Russian-American relations to build trust in the matter of building global security.
