Seoul - Saba:
South Korea's Constitutional Court on Monday rejected the impeachment of Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, which had been previously approved by parliament.
The court deemed the parliament's actions against Han unlawful.
Han resumed his duties after the decision, stressing the importance of moving forward with the country's stability away from political polarization. These developments come at a time when South Korea is experiencing a political crisis following President Yoon Suk-yeol's attempt to impose martial law last December, which prompted parliament to impeach him and charge him with rebellion.
Despite the court's ruling, the political conflict continues as President Yoon is considered for impeachment, as he faces trial on rebellion charges.
