Sami Abu Zuhri, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), denied on Tuesday allegations that the movement had withdrawn from the negotiations, stressing the continuation of contacts with mediators to reach a permanent ceasefire.
Abu Zuhri explained in press statements that the negotiations are still ongoing, indicating that the movement is discussing several proposals, not just one.
He indicated that Hamas is carefully studying them and presenting its opinions and observations to the mediators with the aim of reaching a settlement that meets aspirations and ends the human suffering.
