The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, considered the Shujaiya massacre committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza City to be one of the most heinous crimes of genocide.

The statement said: "In one of the most heinous crimes of genocide, the terrorist Zionist occupation army committed a bloody massacre by bombing a residential area crowded with civilians and displaced persons in the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of 29 martyrs, most of whom were children and women."
