Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that indirect negotiations between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US President Donald Trump's Special Representative for Iran Steve Witkoff have already begun in Muscat, mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi.

In a post on X platform, Baghaei explained that these negotiations are being held in locations designated by the Omani mediator, with the Iranian and US delegations present in separate halls. Each side will convey its views and positions on the lifting of sanctions and Iran's nuclear program to the other via the Omani Foreign Minister.
