A meeting on Monday between head of the Customs Authority Engineer Adel Murgham and head of the National Committee for Women Dr. Ghada Abu Talib focused on the committee's ongoing efforts to revitalize economic empowerment projects for women.
The discussion highlighted the significance of small-scale projects, including the economic activities of productive families, and the challenges women face in the field of economic empowerment within small projects and the labor market. Efforts to address these challenges were also discussed.
During the meeting, the head of the Customs Authority emphasized the crucial role of the National Committee for Women in promoting women's social activities to contribute to self-sufficiency in various sectors, including textiles, handicrafts, and craftsmanship.
He noted the Customs Authority's active involvement in implementing numerous community initiatives in recent months to support diverse activities for the benefit of society as a whole.
Engineer Murgham affirmed the Customs Authority's commitment to supporting and qualifying women to establish small businesses and improve their living standards.
Dr. Abu Talib underscored the National Committee's dedication to women's issues and their rehabilitation to enable them to work effectively and market their businesses and products successfully.
