Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting in Sana'a Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdul Basit Al Hadi, discussed measures to mitigate rockslides in sites studied by the General Authority for Geological Survey and the Civil Defense Department branch in the governorate.
The meeting, attended by the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development, Ammar Al-Hareb, and the Governor, Faris Al-Kohali, reviewed the efforts made by the Ministry, the leadership of the local authority in the governorate, the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, and the community, along with relevant authorities, to address rockslides in several districts.
They also discussed urgent measures to address high-risk rockslides. They approved the initiation of interventions to address landslides in high-risk areas, according to the priorities identified by the Civil Defense Branch and the Geological Survey Authority, before the rainy season in the Beit Abdul Haq area of the Outer Haima District.
The meeting was attended by the directors of the Civil Defense Branch in the governorate, Colonel Muhammad Jaafar; the directors of the projects at the Ministry of Administration and Development, Akram Safi al-Din; the representative of the Survey Authority, Aref al-Jabali; the directors of the Initiatives Department, Abdo Masri; and the Projects, Prevention, and Protection Department at the Civil Defense Branch, Dr. Sami al-Jaboubi.
