The US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) announced on Monday that the State Department has approved the sale of military equipment to Israel, including Eitan Powerpack engines, for approximately $180 million.
The Pentagon explained in a statement that Washington is committed to the security of the Israeli entity, and that assisting it is essential to its national interests.
The ministry continued, "The military sales will improve the Israeli entity's ability to defend its borders, infrastructure, and population centers."
It added, "The military sales will enhance the Israeli entity's ability to confront current and future threats."
The ceasefire agreement, which went into effect on January 19 and lasted for 58 days, collapsed after the Israeli enemy reneged on its terms and resumed its aggression at dawn on March 18, 2025, imposing a tight blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces, with American and European support, have continued to commit "genocide," resulting in more than 167,000 deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 14,000 missing, according to Palestinian medical sources.
