Geneva – Saba:
Jens Laerke, spokesperson for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said on Tuesday that the Gaza Strip is experiencing the "worst humanitarian situation" since the beginning of the war due to Israel's prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid.
This came, according to Anadolu Agency, in response to a question about "Israel's" prevention of humanitarian aid for more than 50 days, during a press conference at the UN office in Geneva.
Laerke noted that humanitarian aid has not reached Gaza for 50 days, and that commercial goods have not reached Gaza for a longer period.
He added: "In Gaza, you can see a clear trend towards a complete catastrophe. Right now, the humanitarian situation in Gaza is probably the worst since the beginning of the war."
Since March 18, the Israeli enemy has intensified its crimes of genocide by launching violent, widespread airstrikes, most of which targeted civilians in homes and tents housing displaced persons.
