Moscow - Saba:
Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the secret resistance in Mykolaiv, announced on Wednesday that the Russian military carried out strikes on Ukrainian airports in Poltava, Zhytomyr, and the Kyiv region.
According to Sputnik, Lebedev stated:
"In the Kyiv region, Hostomel Airport was targeted. In Poltava, the airport sustained multiple strikes. Zhytomyr Airport was also hit."
He added that Russian forces also struck targets near the Kharkiv airport area. Later, he reported additional strikes on warehouses and military targets in the Lviv, Volyn, and Ternopil regions.
Lebedev further noted that Russian forces also targeted “training grounds where NATO equipment and conscripts from the latest recruitment wave — heavily drafted in May and June — had been transferred.”
In response to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilian infrastructure, Russian forces are using high-precision weapons from air, sea, and land platforms, as well as drones, to strike only military targets and facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that Russian forces targeted and destroyed energy and gas infrastructure supporting the operations of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. The ministry also reported advances along several fronts and claimed that Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment.
In its statement, the ministry said:
"Russian warplanes, drones, missile forces, and artillery struck gas and energy infrastructure facilities supporting the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 133 areas."
The statement added:
"Air defense systems shot down four guided aerial bombs, a U.S.-made HIMARS missile, and 202 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles."
