Tulkarm – SABA:
Israeli occupation forces continued demolishing residential buildings in Tulkarm refugee camp on Friday, the 166th day of their ongoing assault on the camp and Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank.
Since dawn, Israeli bulldozers have been tearing down more homes in Tulkarm camp's Al-Murabba' neighborhood as part of a new plan to demolish 104 buildings containing 400 housing units, continuing recent demolition operations across the camp.
The occupation authorities announced last Sunday their intention to begin implementing large-scale demolition orders in Tulkarm camp, defying an earlier Israeli Supreme Court decision to freeze these orders.
This week, occupation forces permitted some families who couldn't evacuate earlier to briefly enter the camp to retrieve belongings from 54 homes slated for demolition, under strict military measures that included harassment, detentions, obstruction of evacuations, and live fire against residents.
Meanwhile, Nur Shams camp is experiencing intensified military aggression under a tight siege imposed by Israeli forces for the 153rd consecutive day.
Occupation forces have deployed extensively in Jabal Al-Nasr and Al-Ayadah neighborhoods, seizing civilian homes and converting them into military barracks after forcibly expelling residents.
The forces continue firing live ammunition at anyone approaching the camp, while explosions are heard periodically inside.
Nur Shams camp has witnessed systematic arson attacks by occupation forces burning homes, following recent mass demolitions of dozens of residential buildings as part of a plan to destroy 106 structures across both Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps - including 48 buildings already demolished in Nur Shams alone - causing massive destruction and creating new military roads that divide neighborhoods.
The Israeli escalation has forcibly displaced over 5,000 families (more than 25,000 Palestinians) from both camps, completely destroyed over 600 homes, and partially damaged 2,573 others, while the camps' entrances remain blocked by earth barriers, transforming them into lifeless zones
