Hodeida - Saba:
A training course on "Computer Basics" for employees of the Skills Development Fund branch in Hodeida was concluded on Wednesday.
The course was organized by the Consultancy and Development Center at the University of Science and Technology.
Over 12 days, the course aimed to equip 15 male and female employees with digital skills and enhance their technical abilities in computer usage, contributing to improved job performance and administrative efficiency at the fund.
During the closing ceremony, Hodeida Deputy Governor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mohammed Al-Nahari, emphasized the importance of training programs in keeping pace with technological advancements. He praised the efforts of the fund and the university branch in organizing the course and developing local capacities.
He noted that strengthening digital skills has become an urgent necessity amid the administrative and economic transformations in the country, requiring continuous capacity-building and development across various fields.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Laymah, Director of the University of Science and Technology branch, stated that the center places special emphasis on qualifying personnel in technical and professional aspects. He affirmed the university’s readiness to provide training services to all official and community institutions.
Meanwhile, Khalifa Al-Humaidi, Director of the Skills Development Fund branch in the province, explained that the course is part of a training plan aimed at improving the performance of the fund’s employees and enhancing their competencies in line with modern work requirements.
He highlighted the importance of partnerships with academic institutions in implementing training and capacity-building programs, which benefit institutional work and public service.
