Ibb - Saba:
The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development launched on Wednesday the distribution of 13,000 bags of cement and 25,000 liters of diesel to support community initiative projects across several districts in Ibb governorate.
During the launch, Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah emphasized that supporting community-led initiatives reflects the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council to prioritize service-oriented projects that contribute to sustainable development.
Salah affirmed that these efforts reflect the government's commitment to enhancing local development and implementing service projects that address citizens' basic needs.
Governor Salah explained that the distribution of cement and diesel is intended to facilitate the implementation of essential projects in sectors such as water, roads, and healthcare, while also strengthening cooperation between local authorities and local communities. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts to achieve inclusive and sustainable development across all districts.
Interventions Unit’s representative in Ibb Ahmed Nayef reaffirmed the unit's ongoing support for community initiatives, particularly in remote mountainous areas, helping ease the suffering of residents due to poor infrastructure and limited access to services.
Director of Yarim district Mohammed al-Khaled praised the vital developmental role of the Central Interventions Unit and the Ministry of Local Administration in supporting grassroots projects. He also acknowledged the commitment of local authorities to executing service and development initiatives.
Director of Community Initiatives in Yarim district Abdullah Ubad highlighted the significance of the support provided in the form of cement and diesel. He emphasized the importance of continued backing for such initiatives, which encourage greater community participation—particularly in rural areas—to complete more projects that address local needs.
