The Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Engineer Maeen Al-Maqrami, along with the Executive Director of the Yemeni Standards, Metrology, and Quality Control Organization (YSMO), Sam Al-Bashiri, inaugurated 54 new services linked to the organization’s e-services portal, Tasheel, as well as several administrative and technical systems at YSMO.
During the launch ceremony, the Minister of Economy and Industry praised the ongoing development and modernization efforts at YSMO, aligning with the ministry’s plans to transition toward e-governance, aimed at improving the business environment.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Economy and Industry supports YSMO in continuing its development and modernization to keep pace with changes, enabling the organization to fulfill its role in protecting consumers and the national economy.
The minister stressed the importance of holding meetings between YSMO and the private sector to introduce the services available through the e-portal, as well as preparing service guides to ensure the private sector benefits from these services.
Minister Al-Maqrami noted that the new systems reflect an innovative vision to achieve the highest levels of quality and facilitate communication between relevant stakeholders.
For his part, the Executive Director of YSMO reviewed the new services provided through the e-portal, explaining that the launch of the new systems and services is part of the organization’s 2025 development plan, which focuses on improving operational efficiency and expanding e-services to meet user expectations and enhance communication management.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Information Center at YSMO, Engineer Amr Al-Ma'mari, clarified that the new services include an upgraded administrative communications system to streamline coordination between departments, branches, and centers, in addition to the revamped technical system, the launch of the Energy Center system, and an administrative system for archiving staff data and qualifications.
The inauguration was attended by YSMO Deputy Directors Dr. Kamal Margham and Abu Al-Hassan Al-Nahari, Deputy Chairman of the Capital Secretariat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Salah, and several YSMO officials.
