Hodeida - Saba:
Hodeida University launched on Wednesday the third phase of its awareness campaign to boycott American and Israeli enemy goods, as part of the national campaign in support of al-Aqsa Mosque.
The campaign’s first day targeted students, faculty, and staff at the College of Arts complex through the distribution of awareness brochures and posters, and by holding guidance sessions in classrooms to highlight the dangers of supporting economies hostile to the nation.
During the inauguration, Hodeida Undersecretary for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi praised the university’s efforts in implementing the campaign. He described it as one of the most impactful awareness initiatives, aimed at enabling society to take practical stances against the enemy and its practices, particularly in light of the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
Halisi emphasized that economic boycott is both a moral position and an effective weapon to weaken companies that support the Zionist entity, urging all segments of society—especially youth—to engage with the campaign and participate in its awareness and field activities.
University Rector Dr. Mohammed al-Ahdal affirmed that the campaign is part of ongoing official and popular efforts to support the Palestinian people. He noted that through this third phase, the university aims to expand public awareness of boycotting enemy products, focusing on schools, private universities, and vocational institutes throughout the governorate.
Dr. al-Ahdal stated that the first two phases of the campaign had achieved tangible success and helped enhance public awareness of the importance of economic boycott as an effective resistance tool. He described the boycott as a form of confrontation with the enemy that must be sustained and expanded to include all segments of society.
He called for the use of all media platforms and cultural forums to promote the culture of boycott and to reinforce the sense of religious and national responsibility toward the central cause of the Ummah, affirming that Hodeidah University will remain at the forefront of academic institutions committed to this enlightening role.
Meanwhile, the University’s Media Director and field supervisor of the campaign, Abdullah Taher, noted that the campaign’s activities will continue over the coming days and will cover other colleges and university centers.
He explained that the campaign comes in response to growing popular and official engagement in Yemen with developments surrounding the Palestinian cause, and as part of the university’s efforts to enhance national awareness and activate its academic and cultural role in serving the issues of the Ummah.
