The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the Israeli army’s targeting this Thursday morning of the Latin Monastery Church in Gaza City, which resulted in the injury of the church’s parish priest and several displaced individuals taking refuge inside. Hamas described the incident as a new crime committed by the Zionist enemy against places of worship and innocent displaced civilians.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hamas stated that this attack is part of a broader campaign of genocide being waged by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in all their components.
The movement said: “The continued horrific massacres by the Zionist enemy, its policy of starving our people in the Gaza Strip, killing civilians across all parts of Gaza, and targeting mosques, churches, hospitals, bakeries, water wells, and all civilian facilities, constitute well-defined war crimes.”
Hamas emphasized that these actions require a serious response from the international community and the United Nations. The movement called for immediate action to halt the barbaric aggression and to hold the leaders of the Zionist entity accountable for their crimes against humanity.
