The Iranian national basketball team began its campaign in the 2025 Asia Cup with a 77-52 victory over Guam in the Group Stage.

The Iranian team dominated most of the match, which took place last night, ending the first quarter ahead 23-10 and maintaining its lead in the second quarter 18-10.

In the third quarter, Guam showed an offensive resurgence, winning the period 21-11. However, Iran regained control in the final quarter, securing a 25-11 win to close the game with a 25-point difference, according to Iran’s Mehr News Agency.

The Iranian team is now preparing to face Japan in the second round, while Guam will play against Syria in the same group.
