Ibb - Saba:
A ceremonial event was held on Thursday in Ibb province to mark the launch of activities commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace , blessings be upon him and his family).
During the event, Ibb Governor Abdulwahed Salah emphasized that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday renews loyalty to Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) and reinforces adherence to his righteous guidance. He noted that the official and popular celebrations organized by the Yemeni people honor the life of the one sent by Allah as a mercy to all worlds.
He called on everyone to actively participate in the festivities, stressing the importance of seizing this occasion to reaffirm sincere devotion to Allah Almighty, the Holy Quran, and the Noble Prophet, as well as strengthening allegiance to him (peace be upon him and his family).
The launch ceremony, attended by Deputy Governors Rakan Al-Naqeeb and Harith Al-Maliki, along with several executive office directors, featured a speech by Ahmed Al-Muhajir, head of the Guidance Sector in the governorate. He stated that celebrating the birth of the noble Prophet, the supreme leader and first teacher, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), is an act of worship, gratitude to Allah, recognition of His blessings, and reverence for His Messenger. He highlighted the collective and individual responsibility to deepen one's connection with the Final Prophet , uphold his principles, values, words, and actions.
Al-Muhajir added that no event in history is greater or more significant than the birth of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
A speech on behalf of scholars was delivered by Ali Al-Akkam, who reviewed aspects of the Prophet’s life (peace be upon him) in building the Muslim community, his sacrifices in the cause of Allah, his efforts to establish the foundations of faith, and his steadfastness in battles against disbelievers and oppressors.
He underscored the importance of commemorating the Prophet’s birthday in reviving his noble character, emulating his morals, following his path, and drawing lessons from his exemplary life and guidance.
