TEHRAN September 01. 2024 (Saba) — The Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Forces announced on Sunday the integration of advanced M60 tanks into its combat units.
The ceremony marking the arrival of these tanks was attended by Maj. Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, and Major General Kiomars Heidari, the Commander of the Army Ground Forces, along with other high-ranking commanders.
The newly integrated M60 tanks feature advanced capabilities, including targeting and engaging moving targets, night vision cameras for nocturnal operations, a fire suppression system, a digital dashboard, and a laser jamming and warning system.
These enhancements aim to bolster the operational effectiveness and versatility of Iran's ground forces.
