Madrid - Saba:
Real Madrid have confirmed that French defender Ferland Mendy will miss the upcoming Champions League match against Atalanta due to injury.
The club revealed in a statement on Sunday that Mendy has suffered a muscle injury in his right quadriceps, and his condition will be closely monitored in the coming days.
The injury occurred during Real Madrid's recent La Liga match against Girona, when Mendy was forced to leave the pitch after experiencing muscle pain.
He was replaced by Fran Garcia in the 3-0 victory, which saw Madrid close the gap to league leaders Barcelona, now just two points ahead following their 2-2 draw with Real Betis.
Mendy's absence will be a blow to Madrid as they prepare for their Champions League showdown with Atalanta on Tuesday.
