The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Authority has said that child prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist enemy are exposed to Zionist hatred, racism and criminality, and live in catastrophic conditions.
The Authority added in a statement Sunday that "child prisoners in Megiddo prison have become prey to the hatred, racism and criminality of the Zionist prison guards, who treat these children in a brutal manner."
The Authority indicated that the prison administration exploits the young age of these children and their weak physical structure, and deliberately frightens and terrorizes them by storming their rooms, beating them and insulting them, as the mistreatment is politicized and is intended to affect their psychological conditions and internal content.
The Authority's lawyer quoted one of the child prisoners as saying, "The living, living and health conditions of child prisoners in Megiddo prison are catastrophic, and there are special repression units that practice crime and excel in torturing these children."
The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority indicated that the total number of child prisoners inside the Zionist prisons reached approximately 280.
The number of Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist enemy reaches 11,900 Palestinians, excluding the detainees from the Gaza Strip who are in camps affiliated with the enemy army, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
