Sana'a-Saba:
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Jamal Amer, Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA), met with the Chairman of the Redeployment Committee in Hodeida, General Michael Beary, and his deputy, Mari Yamashita.
In the meeting, Minister Amer explained that the UNMHA mission receives all facilities from the government and the military committee to help it monitor the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement, which limited the geographical scope of its work in the city of Hodeidah and its directorates only, stressing that no work outside this geographical scope will be accepted.
He called on the mission to assume its responsibility to monitor the other side's escalation and military, political, and financial build-up that suggested its readiness to carry out military escalation.
The foreign minister stressed that any action taken by Sana'a is a matter of self-defense only, as the government's top directives are not to start any military action, but to be cautious, vigilant, and self-defense.
For his part, he explained to General Michael Beary that the mission is committed to its mandate and geographical scope set out in the Stockholm Agreement, and appreciates the support given to the government and the military committee.
