The 12/12 cleanliness and awareness campaign was launched in Sana'a on Thursday under the title "Cleanliness is a social responsibility".
The 12-day campaign, implemented by the Secretariat's Cleanliness Fund and Project, was launched with the participation of officials, communities, organizations, youth initiatives and the Cleanliness Fund Awareness Center from Bab Al-Yemen in the old Sana'a district.
The Secretary of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Abad, and the heads of the Social Affairs Committee, Hamoud Al-Naqib, Services Adel Al-Araqi and Hussein Abdul Qader Hilal, participated in the cleanliness work in Bab Al-Yemen area.
He described the 12/12 campaign as the end of a year of continuous cleanliness for the Capital Secretariat and a prelude to a new year of cleanliness that begins with the 1/1 campaign, stressing the keenness of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to promote cleanliness, which is the basis of the identity and civilization of Yemenis.
Obad explained that the 12/12 campaign has become an annual tradition implemented by the Capital Secretariat since its establishment during the era of Martyr Abdul Qader Hilal, calling on citizens to commit to removing waste on time and not to throw it in the streets and central islands.
They explained that the campaign will be implemented through the addition of 25 cleaning equipment in addition to more than 280 equipment that will work to remove construction waste, dust and other cleaning works in various directorates.
At the launch, which was attended by Undersecretary for Youth Sector Mohammed Al-Banous, Undersecretary Ahsan Qadi, Directors of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Nasser Al-Kahli, Information Abdullah Al-Faieq, Old Sana'a Directorate Mahdi Arhab, Follow-up Abdul Halim Al-Sukkari, and Head of the Municipal Workers Union Mohammed Al-Marzouki, Hussein Abdul Qader Hilal considered the launch of the 12/12 cleanliness campaign a message that embodies the faith identity of the Yemeni people who write heroic stances today in support of Palestine.
"Today, we join the leadership of the Capital Secretariat, citizens and cleaners in the 13th edition of the 12/12 cleanliness campaign, which was founded by the martyr Abdul Qader Hilal, in honor of the approach he started with cleaners and all citizens," Hilal said.
