Israeli media have reported progress in negotiations to reach settlement in Gaza in return for the release of hostages.
Sources close to the talks expressed anxious optimism at chances to reach understanding that would lead to a deal, the media said.
The United States, Qatar and Egypt are now exerting effective pressures on the two parties to the conflict, in order to craft a deal, they added.
