Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects very cold and cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours as a result of the deepening of the extension of the cold Siberian high pressure system over our country.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that very cold weather is expected in the governorates of Al Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'dah and the highlands of Ibb, Al Dhale'e, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadhramaut, and western Al Jawf and southern Marib with the possibility of frost forming in parts of them.
It indicated that the weather is likely to be cold in the highlands of Hajjah, Al Mahwit and Raymah, and relatively cold and dusty in the desert areas and interior plateaus.
He stated that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar - Rasaba: zero, Amran: 1.0, Al Bayda: 1.3, Sana'a: 2.2, Ibb - Ba'dan: 6.5, Al Mahwit: 9.0, Hajjah: 10.0 degrees Celsius. The center warned citizens in the highlands, interior plateaus and deserts of cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
It also warned farmers of the effects of frost formation on crops and advised them to take the necessary measures to protect them, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to protect them from cold and very cold weather.
