Hodeida - Saba:
840 medical and health cadres took the third proficiency exam 2024 AD at Hodeida University on Thursday to obtain licenses to practice the profession, organized by the Medical Council.
At the inauguration, head of the Medical Council Dr. Mujahid Measar explained that holding the exams in Hodeida province comes within the framework of the Council's consideration of the circumstances of applicants from medical cadres and alleviating the suffering of traveling to the capital, Sana'a.
He noted that taking exams in various specialties aims to obtain a license to practice the profession to ensure that no errors or shortcomings occur in the outputs of universities and medical and health institutes.
Measar pointed out that the proficiency exam will soon be launched in Hajjah province, which is the third province to which the exams are transferred to take into account the living conditions of cadres and within the framework of the Council's phased expansion plans.
Dr. Measar praised the efforts of the leadership of the Chairmanship of Hodeida University and all its cadres supervising the exam and the good organization and arrangement to conduct the exam in a calm and smooth atmosphere.
Chairman of the Medical Council visited the General Revolution Hospital Authority in Hodeida and was briefed on the achievements made by the Authority and the services provided to patients.
He also reviewed the new expansion in intensive care by 30 beds, bringing the total bed capacity in the intensive care rooms to about 120 beds, as well as the new devices that were introduced to the Authority, which include the latest device for crushing stones, in addition to the specialized radiology department for resonance and CT.
