Caracas-Saba:
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro confirmed that Venezuela's economy grew by more than nine percent during 2024.
The Venezuelan President explained in press statements today, Thursday, that his country's economy achieved a growth of 5.5 percent in 2023, and in 2024, according to all data, growth in GDP will exceed nine percent, with a very high level of growth in the real economy, as well as in the hydrocarbon sector.
In the past few years, Venezuela's economy, like global economies, has faced high inflation rates that have caused an increase in the migration rates of Venezuelans in search of better opportunities.
In 2019, the government eased restrictions on the private sector, allowing the dollar to be used in informal transactions that helped support key sectors of the economy.
