The Iranian armed forces are preparing to test new and unknown air defense systems in the coming days as part of comprehensive military maneuvers.
Tasnim International News Agency reported today that the commander of the Joint Air Defense Headquarters in Iran, Qader Rahimzadeh, explained in a statement that the air defense units of the army and the Revolutionary Guards have been deployed near sensitive sites, equipped with modern systems to enhance their defense capabilities.
He added, these units will conduct integrated defense exercises under the command of the Unified Air Defense Network, as part of the "Armed Forces' Power" maneuvers, with the aim of enhancing their readiness to firmly protect the country's airspace.
He pointed out that the maneuvers will be large-scale, but the full details will not be announced for reasons related to maintaining secrecy and strategic surprise against enemies, as only a small part of them will be revealed through the media.
