Beijing - Saba: The death toll from a powerful earthquake that struck Xigaze County in southwest China's Xichang Autonomous Region has risen to 126, with 188 injured.
The official Xinhua News Agency said that civil defense teams have pulled out more than thirty more dead from under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
