New Delhi - Saba:
The Indian Space Research Organization has successfully carried out a "space docking" mission for two satellites.
According to Indian media, and according to information provided by the organization, the successful docking of the two satellites was carried out yesterday, Thursday, during which the "Target" and "Chaser" satellites were linked to each other after a series of maneuvers, and then separated.
It indicated that the goal of this mission was to develop the technologies necessary to complete space docking missions, and to prove India's capabilities to carry out such missions.
The "Space News" website had indicated last September that India is working on a project to create a multi-unit national space station in Earth's orbit.
The first unit of this station is supposed to be launched into space in December 2028, as the date of the station's deployment will be linked to a program under which India is working to develop space vehicles to send manned flights into space.
