The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday, that its forces were able to regain control of six towns in Kursk, Kharkiv, and Donetsk, in addition to eliminating 11,400 Ukrainian soldiers in a week.

The weekly statement of the Russian Defense on the progress of the military operation in Ukraine stated that from January 25 to 31, Russian forces launched eight strikes against Ukrainian forces, destroying sites in military industry complexes, military airports, and drone warehouses.

The statement added that Russian air defenses were able to shoot down two "Hamier" air bombs, 31 "Himars" missiles, in addition to shooting down 592 Ukrainian drones.
