Eng. Mukhtar Al-Turki, a representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Al-Mahwit Governorate, inspected the progress of several community initiatives today. These projects are supported by the unit and are located in various villages within the Al-Rujum District.
He was briefed with the official of studies in the province, Engineer Abdullah Saadan, on the progress of paving works on the roads of Sama'a, Al-Mishna, Al-Wadi'i, and Al-Jaw, as well as paving the road of the village of Al-Mobed in the isolation of Al-Azki.
In addition, a team from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit has begun implementing a program to raise the needs of the directorates in the field of road construction and expansion with the aim of including them in the plan to improve rural services during the next phase.
The representative of the Interventions Unit stressed the importance of the role of community initiatives in promoting local development, especially in the field of rural roads. He pointed to the need for concerted popular and official efforts to improve infrastructure in order to contribute to promoting economic growth in rural areas.
