The Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water, Dr. Ali Saif Mohammed, his deputy Adel Saleh Bader and the President of the General Organization for Electrical Industries and Renewable Energy, Abdul Ghani Al-Madani, were briefed on Saturday on the progress of work at the Dahyan power plant.
Saif, Bader and Al-Madani listened to an explanation of the progress of work at the power plant in Dahyan, which was inaugurated in November 2023 with a hybrid system with a generating capacity of 1.5 MW at an estimated cost of 390 million and 875 thousand riyals with self-financing.
The Minister of Electricity, Energy , Water and his deputy stressed that the Dahyan electricity project comes as a translation of the directives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the program of the government of change , construction, and the plan of the Ministry of Electricity and the Electric Industries Corporation to deliver electricity to deprived areas.
They pointed out the keenness of the ministry and the corporation to implement electricity projects in the province to alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the current conditions due to the continued aggression and blockade.
The Minister of Electricity and Water signed the minutes of handing over an artesian well belonging to the Rural Water Projects Authority to the local water and sanitation organization in Dahyan, where the director of the organization, Engineer Mohammed Al-Saadi, received and signed the handover minutes.
