Hodeida - Saba:
The University of Science and Technology, Hodeida Branch, on Sunday held an event to mark the anniversary of the martyr leader, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, under the slogan "Martyr of the Qur'an."
The event highlighted the legacy of the late leader and his contributions to the nation’s resistance against oppression.
Dr. Mohammed al-Leymah, Director of the University Branch, kicked off the event by pointing out the immense sacrifices made by Hussein al-Houthi for the sake of God and the nation.
He touched on key moments from the leader's life, emphasizing how he broke through the wall of silence during a time of widespread indifference and submission, inspiring a nation to embrace martyrdom and stand up to global tyranny.
Al-Leymah went on to explain how the leader's awareness of the challenges facing the nation led him to launch the slogan "The Scream in the Face of the Arrogant," which marked a historic turning point. This movement, he said, gave momentum to the Yemeni people’s struggle and motivated others to break free from fear and confront their enemies.
He stressed that the leader's resistance project crushed the mentality of helplessness and submission, countering misleading campaigns aimed at undermining the nation’s consciousness.
Sheikh Ali Odhabi, Vice Rector of Dar al-Ulum al-Shari'ah University, wrapped up the event by emphasizing the importance of continuing the leader's Quranic project under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
He called for enhancing awareness from a Quranic perspective and adhering to divine principles to elevate the nation’s status and achieve further victories on the regional and international stage.
The event served as a reminder of al-Houthi’s enduring influence and the ongoing struggle to uphold the values he championed.
