Bunyan Development Foundation organized on Monday a workshop to launch the second phase of community participation strengthening projects in the Capital Secretariat with the support of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Capital Secretariat.
The workshop aimed to introduce 20 participants from the leaders of neighborhood affairs, mobilization, social affairs , labor, and the Unit for Financing Projects and Agricultural Initiatives in the Capital Secretariat, to the second phase and its objectives of community participation projects , the mechanisms for selecting and training development knights for the rest of the districts and neighborhoods that were not included in the first phase.
The second phase includes training and awareness-raising for 13,345 participants, selecting 950 development knights at the level of directorates, neighborhoods , districts, and qualifying them for qualitative development work in the field of natural resources, economic activities (agricultural, fisheries, mineral and industrial), planning , implementation of community initiatives and other specialized fields.
The workshop reviewed the plan and projects of the second phase, its importance , its role in training , qualifying development knights and preparing them to establish multi-purpose cooperative associations at the level of each directorate as a first phase, and in each neighborhood in the capital as a strategic phase.
