Bayda - Saba:
The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in Al-Bayda Governorate launched a field campaign today to monitor markets, businesses, shops, bakeries, and ovens in the districts of the governorate.
During the launch, the Director of the Economy Office in the governorate, Ahmed Al-Tahiri, explained that the campaign is in implementation of the directives from the Ministry's leadership and the local authority in the governorate, as part of enhancing the supervisory role to protect consumers from expired or spoiled goods being sold in the market ahead of Ramadan.
He pointed out that several violations were detected in the central market of the governorate, including price hikes, failure to display price lists, and selling expired goods.
He emphasized that there will be no leniency in taking action against violators according to the regulations governing commercial activity and the directives issued by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment.
He noted that the campaign will continue until the end of Ramadan to monitor supply conditions, address violations of all types, and ensure adherence to the prices set by the Ministry of Economy and Industry, as well as health requirements.
