Gaza - Saba:
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem demanded today, Monday, serious guarantees from mediators and America to oblige "Israel" to abide by the ceasefire agreement.
Qassem confirmed that the occupation continues to violate the ceasefire agreement by postponing the release of prisoners, as the occupation has been accustomed to not abiding by any agreement it signs.
Qassem said: "We are communicating with mediators regarding the occupation's violation of the ceasefire agreement with American support, and the prisoners must be released before talking about the second phase negotiations.
He demanded the release of the seventh batch of prisoners before talking about extending the first phase, stressing that extending the first phase is contingent on what is put on the table and the guarantees of the occupation's commitment.
Once again, "Israel" has evaded its obligations, as the end date of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip approaches, by not releasing the seventh batch of Palestinian prisoners and not implementing the humanitarian protocol, which created a crisis that could threaten the failure of the truce.
"Israel" decided on Saturday to postpone the release of the seventh batch of Palestinian prisoners within the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, while the Palestinian Authority for Prisoners and Freed Prisoners confirmed that the occupation postponed the release of prisoners until further notice.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the decision to postpone the release of Palestinian prisoners will continue until the release of detainees is guaranteed without what it described as humiliating decrees.
