The Jenin Battalion in Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, targeted today, Monday, the enemy forces storming the town of Silat al-Harithiya in Jenin, north of the West Bank, with an explosive device.

The Jenin Battalion said in a statement, "Our fighters in the Silat al-Harithiya Battalion were able at dawn today to detonate a highly explosive ground explosive device of the type KJ37, prepared in advance, in a military patrol at the entrance to Silat al-Harithiya, achieving confirmed injuries."

It added in another statement that after contact was restored with one of its combat formations in the Silat al-Harithiya brigade, "they confirmed to us that at dawn today they were able to confront the enemy forces and military reinforcements in the various fighting axes in the town and at the entrance to Silat al-Harithiya and shower them with heavy showers of direct bullets and pre-prepared explosive devices, achieving confirmed casualties."
