Madrid - Saba:
Real Madrid has received a new shock, but this time it is not related to the refereeing decisions, but rather to the scheduling of its matches, specifically against Villarreal in the 28th round of the Spanish Football League.
In recent weeks, the Royal Club launched a sharp attack on the Spanish refereeing committee, objecting to the decisions taken in the matches against Atletico Madrid, Osasuna and Espanyol, in which the team failed to achieve victory.
But this time, the complaint turned to the match schedule, and according to the Spanish newspaper "AS", the league has set the date for Real Madrid's match against Villarreal for Saturday, March 15 at 6:30 pm local time.
The problem is that Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League on March 12, which means that the team will have a very short rest of no more than two days before facing Villarreal.
The club believes that this schedule will negatively affect the team's performance, especially after playing a physically and technically exhausting match against Atletico.
The newspaper indicated that Real Madrid accuses the league of not treating it fairly, especially since Atletico Madrid and Barcelona will get longer rest periods.
For example, Barcelona will play against Atletico on Sunday, March 16, which means both teams will have more rest than Real Madrid.
In addition, Barcelona will have an extra rest after facing Benfica in the Champions League on March 11, while Atletico will play against Real Madrid on March 12 before facing Barcelona.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, is preparing to face Real Sociedad today, Wednesday, in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Spanish King's Cup, followed by facing Real Betis on March 1 in the Spanish League.
