German police said that several shots were fired on a street near the state court in the city of Bielefeld this afternoon.
They added in a statement that they could not rule out a connection to the trial taking place in the court.
The German news agency (DPA) reported citing police sources that three shots were fired during the attack, resulting in one person being seriously injured and his life being threatened.
A suspect is currently on trial for murder in the death of former boxer Besar Nemani almost a year ago, who was shot dead in Bielefeld.
