The German government on Friday called on the Zionist enemy to enhance the protection of civilians in the West Bank, amid the escalation of attacks and assaults on the Palestinian areas, and to ensure the return of 40,000 citizens to their homes as soon as possible.
The German Foreign Ministry said in a statement commenting on the Zionist aggression in the cities of the northern West Bank, "We call on the "Israeli" government to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure more effectively during the military operation and to ensure that 40,000 people can return to their homes as soon as possible."
The Foreign Ministry explained that the Zionist aggression "led to the displacement of 40,000 people in the refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas, and 50 people were killed and many others were injured, including civilian victims."
It indicated that the Zionist government's plans to keep the occupation army in the Jenin refugee camp for the long term are "unacceptable."
The Ministry pointed out that "the continued presence of "Israeli" forces in Palestinian territories undermines the efforts of the Palestinian Authority to act as a legitimate representative of Palestinian interests."
The German Foreign Ministry stressed that the Zionist measures "strengthen the occupation structures that must be dismantled in accordance with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice issued on July 19, 2024, and destabilize the already very fragile security."
