Occupied Quds - Saba:
The head of the Operations Division in the Zionist enemy army, Oded Basiuk, submitted his resignation from his position, which he held for four years, last night to the new Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir.
The spokesman for the enemy army said that Zamir agreed to his request, but "asked him to continue performing his duties during the coming months, due to the operational challenges."
The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" said that "the head of the Operations Division in the Zionist army, Major General Oded Basiuk, requested to retire from his position."
“Bisuk is the third-ranking man in the IDF hierarchy (after the chief of staff and his deputy), and his resignation was expected and necessary, two days before the replacement of Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, who also resigned, with Eyal Zamir,” she added.
According to investigations published by the occupation army last week, Basuk was one of three members of the General Staff Forum who participated in the nightly consultations that preceded October 7, along with Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and former Southern Command Commander Major General Yaron Finkelman.
In January, Halevi announced his resignation from his position as chief of staff, stressing that he bears responsibility for the army’s failure to prevent and confront the Hamas attack. On the same day, the commander of the Southern Command in the occupation army, Yaron Finkelman, announced his resignation from his position.
