Vienna - Saba:
Protesters took to the streets of Vienna on Saturday, denouncing Israeli enemy's resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip following the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement.
Demonstrators gathered on Mariahilfer Street, waving Palestinian flags and holding banners bearing slogans such as "No to Killing Children," "Now... Ceasefire," and "Boycott Israel," according to Anadolu Agency.
Chanting slogans like "No to Genocide," "Netanyahu is a Murderer," and "Free Gaza," they expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause and condemned Israeli attacks.
Austrian activist Wilhelm Langthaler described the renewed attacks, ongoing for over 15 months, as a "major catastrophe" and an act of "brutality" aimed at the extermination of Palestinians.
He criticized Western support for Israel, stating that "all the peoples of the world can clearly see what the enemy is doing."
Langthaler highlighted a "significant gap" between the Austrian government and media's stance and that of the public, who oppose the "genocide" and demand a ceasefire.
He pledged to continue conveying "the voice of Palestine, the voice of humanity, justice, and democracy" despite government and media opposition.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 634 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been martyred and 1,172 injured since the resumption of hostilities on Tuesday.
