Hajjah – Saba:

Hajjah governor Hilal al-Sufi, alongside Mobilization Officer Hamoud al-Maghrebi, conducted an inspection tour on Tuesday of several community-initiated development projects in Mabyan district.

The officials reviewed the progress of a new health unit in Barut area of al-Adba'a, a project being implemented with active community participation and support from local authorities and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development.

The tour also included inspection of key road infrastructure projects, including the paving of a 1-kilometer stretch of Jabal al-Arif road and the expansion and partial paving of the 1.2-kilometer Ghalib Aziz road. Both projects are the result of grassroots initiatives, backed by local government support and the Interventions Unit.

Governor al-Sufi and his delegation were briefed on the progress and completion rates of the projects by Abdulwahab Sinan, the Interventions Unit representative in Hajjah, and Mabyan district Director Mansour Hamza. They also visited a community-built rainwater collection tank and road paving efforts in Bani Barut.

Governor al-Sufi praised the community’s strong involvement in driving sustainable development and underscored the importance of expanding such initiatives, particularly in road and agricultural sectors.

He also commended the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit for its ongoing support and affirmed the governorate’s commitment to maximizing available resources for long-term development.

Officials from the Interventions Unit and local district reaffirmed their commitment to supporting grassroots development, noting that numerous similar projects are underway across Hajjah province through community efforts.
