London - SABA:
Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, captain of Liverpool FC—the current leaders of the English Premier League—has revealed a sense of anticipation regarding the future of his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The name of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold (26 years old) has been strongly linked with a departure from Anfield and a potential move to Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Van Dijk said today: "Since I joined the club, Trent has been an exceptional player by all standards and has contributed immensely to the team. His name will remain etched in the memories of the fans for the achievements he has accomplished—if he decides to leave."
The defensive stalwart of the Reds added: "As of now, we as a group don’t know what will happen. Things are still unclear for us."
It is worth noting that Trent Alexander-Arnold led Liverpool to a crucial victory over hosts Leicester City by scoring the sole winning goal in the 77th minute, just moments after coming on as a substitute at the King Power Stadium. The match, which took place last Sunday in the 33rd round of the English Premier League, has brought the Reds within touching distance of securing the Premier League title.
