The Central Correctional Facility in Dhalea Governorate organized a speech party commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, peace be upon them.
The evening, which was attended by the Director of the Correctional Facility, Colonel Hamdan Mohi, the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Moral Guidance in the Governorate, Major Mukhtar Wajih al-Din, and the Guidance Officer at the Correctional Facility, Mohammed al-Haiti, presented aspects of the life of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and his heroic stances in confronting the tyranny of Yazid and his followers, which embodied the true values of the Islamic faith.
He pointed to the tragedy that befell Imam Hussein and his family as a result of injustice and persecution, emphasizing that they sacrificed their lives for God and His religion, in defense of truth and the righteous path.
Speeches delivered during the evening emphasized that the commemoration of Ashura is not merely a historical event, but rather a renewed school of thought for all free people and revolutionaries in the face of tyranny, and a source of inspiration for peoples in the face of challenges and conspiracies.
The speakers emphasized the importance of learning lessons from the epic of Karbala and the principles for which Imam Hussein was martyred, foremost among them supporting the oppressed, rejecting humiliation and submission, and steadfastness on the path of truth, regardless of the sacrifices.
The speeches made clear that the humiliation and degradation the nation has endured before its enemies is the result of a deviation from the correct path and the straight path.
The participants renewed their pledge to remain steadfast in their stance and adhere to the authentic Muhammadan approach followed by Imam Hussein, affirming that Ashura will remain a beacon illuminating the path of the free at all times and in all places.
