The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in Taiz Governorate carried out a field inspection campaign today to monitor the prices and weights of food commodities and essential goods in the districts of Hayfan, Khadeer, and Saber Al-Mawadem.
Director of the Economy Office, Afif Al-Dhabahani, stated that the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to regulate markets, control prices, publish official price lists, and ensure stability in the supply of essential goods, particularly staples like wheat, flour, and sugar.
He noted that monitoring committees have been formed in various districts to regularly inspect markets, emphasizing the continuation of these field campaigns to curb violations and price manipulation.
During the inspection, four violation reports were filed, mostly related to price hikes and other infractions. Al-Dhabahani urged citizens to report any cases of price manipulation, hoarding, or violations by contacting the following numbers: 733460555 or 776032701.
