The Bank of Yemen and Kuwait team achieved the top of the first group in the eighth seven-year football championship organized by the Yemen Corporate Sports Federation with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the sponsorship of Yemen Mobile.
In the third round, the bank team achieved a sweeping victory over the General Authority for Insurance team 6-0, with goals from Hussein Al-Masouri (hat-trick), Alaa Al-Ramim (two goals), and Tariq Al-Hajouri, to enhance its score to 9 points in first place, and close to qualifying for the second round.
The Ministry of Oil managed to snatch a thrilling 3-3 draw against defending champions Yemen Mobile, with goals scored by Ahmed Al-Akkad (two goals) and Ali Al-Nuwayra Yemen Mobile, while Yahya Al-Mizahani, Abdul Ghani Tamesh, and Osama Al-Sukhaimi scored for the Ministry of Oil. With this draw, both teams received one point, with Yemen Mobile leading on goal difference.
