Sana'a (Saba) - Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shiban discussed with the UNFPA representative in Yemen Dr. Inshirah Ahmed, enhancing areas of cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting discussed the status of maternal and newborn health in Yemen and focused on improving and enhancing health services provided in health facilities and community services, as Yemen suffers from a high rate of maternal and neonatal mortality and diseases.
In the meeting, the Minister of Health stressed the need to provide the necessary medicines and equipment according to the request, need and standards of the Ministry of Health.
