Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi received on Sunday the head and members of the leadership council of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, who is currently visiting Tehran.
During the meeting, Aragchi congratulated the resistant Palestinian people in Gaza on their historic victory against the crimes of the Zionist enemy, IRNA reported, stressing that the steadfastness and resistance of the people of Gaza, despite the small area in which they live, in the face of the unprecedented massacres committed by the occupation, will be recorded in history as a symbol of steadfastness and dignity.
He also stressed that the strength of the resistance, which was manifested in the scenes of the steadfast Palestinians returning to their lands, is a source of pride for all Muslims and free people of the world.
For his part, Mohammad Ismail Darwish, chairman of the Hamas Leadership Council, expressed his appreciation for the Iranian foreign policy apparatus's continuous and broad movements in defense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in international forums, expressing his hope that with the completion of the ceasefire agreement, a regional and international campaign will be launched to support the reconstruction of Gaza , alleviate the suffering and pain of the Palestinians.
He emphasized that the great victory of the resistance in Gaza is a turning point in the history of Palestine, as it imposed a strategic defeat on the Zionist occupation in all fields, military, political, intelligence and moral, which resulted in wide global support for the Palestinian cause.
The head of the Hamas leadership council strongly condemned the American president's proposal to displace the residents of Gaza, stressing the need to adopt a unified and strong Arab and Islamic position to confront these plans and support the Palestinian people.
